The Maldives are one of the last remaining quality dive destinations for adventurous travelers from the USA. The diving is a broad mix of reefs and walls, anchor diving and drift diving, even some fine shipwreck diving, all the while surrounded by a wonderfully large poplulation of pelagic fish life. On this trip, you will see everything from colorful clown fish in anemones beside soft coral-laden ledges, to turtles, sharks, manta rays, and even huge whale sharks.

Island Dreams' Maldives adventure makes use of the brand new Peter Hughes Ocean Dancer, clearly the very finest live-aboard sailing these waters. You will be accompanied by expert guide and divemaster Ken Knezick, making his own fifth excursion to the Maldive Archipelago. Our trip features airfare from the USA on Singapore Airlines, day room in the Singapore Airport, ten (10) full nights aboard M/V Ocean Dancer, and a Maldives airport day room before we head home.

Basic Package includes: Round-trip airfare from USA on Singapore Airlines (gateway LAX, SFO, or NYC), airfare taxes, prepaid dayroom in Singapore on the inbound leg, ten (10) nights aboard M/V Ocean Dancer, Ocean Dancer fuel surcharge of $140 per person, lodging taxes, all meals while onboard ship, eight and 1/2 days of three-tank boat diving, at least two night dives, expert local dive guides, and the services of Island Dreams' highly experienced trip leader Ken Knezick, NAUI Divemaster #000230. On the day we disembark Ocean Dancer, our package also includes a day room at the Male Airport Hotel, with dinner and airport transfers.

Package without Airfare: Price without any airfare is $3440 per person. This includes professional guide services, the 10-night Ocean Dancer cruise, Ocean Dancer fuel surcharge of $140 per person, prepaid day room in Singapore on the inbound, prepaid day room in Male on the outbound, all transfers, and dinner at the Hulhule Hotel on the departure day.

Here's the basic itinerary (SQ=Singapore Airlines, SIN=Singapore, and MLE=Male, Maldives):

February 13 -- SQ 29, LAX-SIN, 11:25 pm-11:50 am (arrive Singapore Feb. 15)
Tuesday evening departure from Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York (with flight connections available from your home city). International air travel is on award-winning Singapore Airlines.

February 15 -- SQ 452, SIN-MLE, 8:40 pm-10:10 pm
Arrive Singapore 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, February 15. Transfer to the Airport Transit Hotel for shower and a nap. At 8:40 p.m., continue on to Male, capitol of the Maldives. Arrive Male at 10:10 p.m. Transfer directly to Peter Hughes Ocean Dancer.

February 15 - 25 -- Ten (10) great nights aboard M/V Ocean Dancer, including double occupancy lodging with ensuite facilities in each cabin, all meals, eight and one half days of three-tank diving, and at least two night dives.

February 25 -- SQ 451, MLE-SIN, 11:25 pm-7:05 am (arrive Singapore Feb. 26)
Disembark Ocean Dancer on Sunday morning, transfering to day rooms at the airport hotel. Room and dinner are included, plus swimming pool, and free boat transfers to Male for shopping and sightseeing. Depart Male at 11:25 p.m. Sunday night, on a non-stop flight to Singapore, arriving the next morning, Monday, February 26.

February 26 -- SQ 12, SIN-LAX, 9:40 am-11:05 am (arrive Los Angeles Feb. 26)
Arrive Singapore 7:05 a.m. Immediate flight connections are available for the USA. Arrive USA Monday, February 26, before noon, with plenty of time for same-day ongoing connections to your home city.
